Accessibility
We have built our website so it is accessible and easy to use.
Adobe Flash Player has not been used on our website to allow greater accessibility, and meaning that it is not necessary to download plug-ins or additional software.
Navigation
We have tried to keep navigation simple. The main links are displayed in the buttons along the top of our website. Once one of these links is clicked, you will be taken to the selected page.
The main links are always available throughout the website for easy navigation.
There are some ways in which you can improve accessibility to our website:
Changing the size of the text
Most modern internet browsers (e.g Chrome, Safari) will allow you to zoom in and out of pages, increasing the font size so it is easier to read.
Generally zooming is achieved by holding the CTRL key and pressing ‘+’ or ‘-’ on your keyboard. If you have a wheel on your mouse you can also roll the wheel forwards or backwards whilst holding CTRL to achieve the same effect.
Alternatively in Internet Explorer, you can click on ‘View’, and ‘Text Size’, and then choose a size from there.
Changing the background and text colour
You may find it more comfortable to view web pages with a different colour background or text to reduce eye strain or to improve clarity. This can be achieved in most web browsers.
Changing the colours of Internet Explorer
In Internet explorer click on ‘Tools’, ‘Internet Options’ and select the ‘Accessibility’ button. A new window will appear from which you will need to select the option “Ignore colours specified on web pages” and click ‘Ok’ which will close the window.
Next, click the ‘Colours’ button and click on the Colour Selection boxes to select new colours for your text and background. Once you’ve selected your colours click the ‘OK’ buttons and your new colours will be displayed.
